Ask A Philosopher has received its first question. Yeah!:

I enjoy reading novels, but I have often wondered, what is the purpose of reading fiction? Yes, in general it is because it gives people enjoyment, but why?

This is a great question and I do have some general thoughts that might be helpful in answering it.

In an effort to overcome my writer’s block and create more content, I have added a new feature to my site. Do you you have a question, an issue or a problem that you, my treasured readers, would like me to discuss? Fear not, submit them, and a philosopher (that’s me) will come to the rescue!

Here is a well done video series of brief lectures on the U.S. Constitution. There a seven of them currently, and each is about ten minutes or less in length.

Generally, it seems that perspective is often lost on people. For example, sure enough, gasoline prices have gone up. Paying $4 at the pump for a gallon of joyride fuel hurts especially when one considers that it was so much cheaper only so very recently.

But it helps to see the bigger picture.
